Nash Point Lighthouse Wedding
The 175 year old lighthouse at Nash Point in the Vale of Glamorgan was the last manned lighthouse in Wales, the keepers finally left in 1998, it is now open to the public.
Nash Point Lighthouse is the only working lighthouse in the entire British Isles that is licensed for weddings & civil ceremonies.
It is ideal for formal & informal ceremonies for couples who wish for a unique venue that will be of interest to them and their guests.
The Lighthouse is situated on a headland on the magnificent Glamorgan Heritage Coast in south Wales which offers a beautiful setting of a rugged seascape with splendid coastal and rural backgrounds.
Nash Point makes a memorable and intimate ceremony venue – it can fit 25 guests over two floors – as well as make a unique backdrop for your photographs.
You have exclusivety of the Lighthouse for the duration of your wedding and celebrations, photos etc and The keeper (Chris Williams) usually sound the (very loud)Fog Signal as you have your group pictures taken.
The friendly team provide the usual facilities and decorations etc, but you are welcome to have access prior to your wedding to decorate the wedding floor in your own style and provide whatever music you wish. C.D. iPod situated on wedding floor for your use.
Set on a headland at the mouth of the Bristol Channel on the rugged Glamorgan Heritage Coast in South Wales, the setting more than makes up for the fact that you have to go elsewhere for your reception.
There are several excellent quality Public Houses very close by who can arrange your reception either in their premises or in marquees at their premises. Alternatively some excellent, more formal, venues are available for your reception within a very short distance.
